after 1 3/4 years of college, i finally had the opportunity to use the word "corollary" in a paper today, my 17.906 midterm.

i couldn't remember for the life of me how to spell it correctly :)

arrange idea? Mar. 13th, 2004 @ 04:55 pm
I would love to hear an arrangement of Sarah McLachlan's "Stupid." I know, I know, It'll probably the one there's 5000 submitted versions of on the next BOCA.

I'm just sayin'.

Perc Nerdiness Mar. 10th, 2004 @ 05:58 pm
If you listen to the bridge of Wichita off of Contents, there's a perc line that comes in that is actually really good. It's not mixed well, so it sounds a little anaemic, but if you listen to it closely just before the words ("It's 100 miles to Wichita"), it gets really awesome for about two measures. The guys rhythm is spot-on and totally clean. It's a beautiful perc moment.

The sky in the background of the scenes on the 2006 Brass Rat (revealed last night at Ring Premiere) is depicted like the sky in Vincent Van Gogh's painting Starry Night. Now the rat will remind me of Chorallaries and our Vincent arrangment!

Just thought I'd share.

So this picture came up on my picture slide show screen saver, and I thought that it was really beautiful. And I was fiddling around and made a wallpaper.

Hear You Me

Bates, you are now on my desktop.
There's an American Express commercial featuring "I was Brought To My Senses"!! It has Sting trying to explain the 7/8 time signature to the band. Fantastic!

That's all.
